Covid19 Care

If you test positive for COVID-19, it is recommended you isolate for at least 5 days, even if you only have mild symptoms. This is to prevent spreading COVID-19 to other people. You would start your isolation at Day 0 — this is the day your symptoms started or when you tested positive, whichever came first.

Isolation means not leaving your house and not going to work or school. It also means staying away from others in your household as much as possible.

If you become really unwell and you think you require Covid19 antiviral medication (eligibility criteria applies available to view on Te Whatu Ora’s website) please call us to book an appointment with your doctor.

If you are not eligible for free antivirals, you can contact us to discuss options.

Ensuring the safety of all our patients is paramount. If you’re experiencing Covid19 symptoms or have tested positive, please inform our team when booking your appointment. Upon arrival, remain in your car and notify our staff by phone, providing your car details and registration. Your doctor will then attend to you in the carpark. We kindly request that you wear a mask to protect our staff

COVID-19 is a respiratory disease that affects your lungs, airways, and other organs.

Tamariki and young people who have COVID-19 will commonly have no symptoms or only mild respiratory symptoms, similar to a cold. However, some people can become very sick and need to go to the hospital.

Those immunised are less likely to fall seriously ill. Find out more about COVID-19 vaccines by talking to our nurse. Click link below and follow the voice prompt, press 2 to speak to the nurse.
